Preparation Sources - APPSC Group 1 Screening test 2018




As per recent news, APPSC may announce notification for Group 1 this year (2018) within 2 to 3 months.

So, those who are aspiring to become an Officer in the state services can start their preparation from now.

Here is the given list of sources from which one can prepare
For Group 1 screening test 2018

Current Affairs:
The Hindu or Indian Express (Follow one newspaper regularly)

Indian Polity and Governance:
M.Laxmikanth’s Indian Polity (This one book is more than sufficient for polity. Read and revise all the chapters)
Make note of all the recent government schemes and policies

History:
Tamil Nadu state syllabus 11th and 12th standard text books (These books covered all the basic facts of the History. The book is easy to understand).
History – 6th to 8th and 12th NCERT books
Bipin chandra’s India’s struggle for Independence.

Geography:
For world geography focus on world map (Make note of boundaries shared by countries, important places, rivers of the world, mountains, volcanoes, mineral sources etc)
Geography – 6th to 12th NCERT

Economics:
Economic survey 2017 -18 volume 1 and 2 (Give more importance to volume 2)
Indian Economy by Ramesh singh or Ishwar C Dhingra’s March of the Indian Economy (Any one of this is sufficient)
Union Budget 2018 - 2019

Disaster Management:
CBSE books of 8th to 10th standard on Disaster management
Websites related to disaster management

Science:
NCERT 6th to 10th General science books
Make note of science and technological developments from any newspaper or competitive exam magazines

Logical reasoning, Data analysis:
R S Agarwal book

AP Bifurcation:
AP Reorganization act 2014
Follow AP monthly magazine
