How to prepare for Nabard Grade A phase 1 examination 2019


NABARD Grade A phase 1 consists of 7 sections (English, Aptitude, Reasoning, General Awareness, Economic and Social Issues, Agriculture & Rural development, Computer )

The preparation strategy is as follows,

Part - 1 (English, Reasoning, Quantitative aptitude & computers) - These 4 sections covers 50 percent of the marks.
This part can be prepared by attempting mock tests on a daily basis. So subscribe or enroll in any good test series and practice daily for the next 20 - 25 days.


Part - 2 ( General Awareness; Economic and social issues; Agriculture & Rural Development) - these 3 sections cover 50 percent of the marks.

Tip - No need to attempt numerous mocks for this part. Read and revise is the key to scoring good marks in this part.

Current affairs of the last 6 months is highly important for General Awareness section.

Rural Development contains nearly 20 topics. These topics can be completed within 6 to 7 hours.

Social issues contain nearly 15 topics. These topics can be read in 6 to 7 hours.

One can learn rural development and social issues within a day or two.

Once you completed social issues and rural development, you can start preparing economic issues.

There are 35 to 40 topics under Economic issues. You can read 2 to 3 topics daily and can finish the entire economic issues within 20 days.

Largest part and a toughest section for many is the Agriculture section. The syllabus consists of 11 parts.

Firstly basics or fundamentals of all the 11 parts need to be read.

Once you get conceptual clarity on all the fundamentals. You can dig deep on the issues using standard agricultural textbooks.
